My buddy unfortunatly dumped his 2006 Yamaha R1 50th anniversery edition bike a few months ago... After fighting with the insurance company and the quote from the Yamaha Dealer he decided that he wanted to fix it himself.... He decided to order a whole set of plastics to match off Ebay...

Come to find out the set came from China.... Needless to say none of the paint matches the stock color, Hole alignments are off big time in some cases, and some pieces even broke attempting to install...

Moral to the story i told him to go to MR. CYCLES and he didnt, now hes regretting it and is going to be a month or so before his ebay claim gets recgonized and he can afford new ones

That sucks man. I hear about it a lot. I don't want to say people go the "cheap" route, but you get what you pay for. If you order it from a dealer (No matter what dealer) it's 100% guaranteed to fit and be free of defects.

Tell him we said G/L and thanks for the refferal

you're starting to make me think your a hermet Rhett...sitting in your cave thinking everyone is out to getcha ;)

Ebay is great! but it is run by people, people aren't always perfect. I've been screwed more by face to face transactions with people than i have from online purchasing through ebay.
