I'm looking at Speigler, Galfer, and Goodridge. What do YOU have experience with? I'm really looking ointo the Speiglers but I havent had a chance to contact Corey or Brad yet and get pricing. Going by MSRP it's looking like they'll set me back between $130 and $150. The Galfers look to be about the same and the Goodridge, which I really know nothing about and I'm kinda iffy on "universal" brake line kits, seem to be a good bit cheaper.

I know Fuk got the Speiglers from Corey and he told me he LOVES em. I figure all of them will offer improvement over stock but if I'm gonna spend the dough I wanna know what others would recommend that they've personally run.

I went with Galfer because the was the hot item at the time, I have had no issues at all with them. I would probably buy speiglers now though just based on the good feedback I have heard.

But to be honest I don't think you can go wrong with any of the ones you listed.

Was the Goodridge kit you used pre sized model specific or was it one of their universal kits?

i have used spieglers on my last bike, and my track bike has them front and back. excellent feel/response. had one set of galfers before, and they were great too.

you would be getting pretty similar performance out of any of the brands you mentioned.

I have Venhill lines. They have run their lines on GP bikes and are now selling them here in the states. I have them on the front of my bike now with a Galfer line on the rear. I will be replacing the Galfer line with a Venhill shortly. Kelly @ Trackstar has them. They're a breeze to install since they have removable banjos. :hammer

No major difference in performance between any of them but I like the Spieglers due to the way the banjo's can be rotated to get perfect alignment. Plus you can get them custom made if necessary. On my race bikes with the front end raised the Galfers weren't long enough, no problem, call up and get a set 20mm longer from Spiegler.

Also had a bad experience with Galfer another time when I had a problem with a set of lines. Called them and they wouldn't talk to me, "call your dealer" was their canned response, no direct tech support.

Only problem I am hearing about with Galfer, and anyone please correct me if this has changed, is they are only stocking their "stock" (clear) lines with their dealers. Everything else is special order with a 2 week turn around. At least that's the way it was a couple of months ago when I needed new lines.

Can't say enough about Venhill. Customer service is way above and beyond top notch. If you have a problem or question, the president of Venhill USA himself helps you right away. There is no "contact your dealer" with them :lol Again they're new to the USA and not too many people have them, in fact I think it's safe to say that besides Kelly, I am the only one on this site that has them but I think these lines are the next big thing with brake lines. :lol

I have Speiglers on the current bike and Goodridge on the last. No problems with either. Think it comes down to the price and available options between the two.

I had Goodridge lines on both of my last bikes.............but they weren't the regular lines, they were the microbore -2 race lines.............Those will set you back about $225 retail...

BUT, anymore, brake lines are brake lines.......Take a few bikes, install one with Galfers, one with Venhill, one with Speigler, one with Goodridge and you wont be able to tell the difference :lol Go with the best deal you can get
