I really had my heart set on getting an EXO-1000 for the upcoming season. But reacent reviews seem to suggest the helmet is not all that great. Looks like it is 1 generation away from perfection.

So far the EXO-1000 reviews don't seem be to flattering for the helmet.

Only the guy from Sportbiketrackgear seems to be the die hard fan...

Just wondering what would you get if you were in my situation. Both helmets fit my head great.

i use the exo-400 (second one) and really like it and it my first one held up really well when i introduced it to the pavement

I haven't tried the EXO1000 but I do own an X-11 and love it. The only down side is that it fogs up when its cold outside. I work the night shift and I get out of work at 2AM when its a bit chilly out (well for SoCal) but I usually wear a breath mask which has helped alleviate the fogging. For summer riding I really like the X-11. The way the air circulate keeps my face cool and my head too.

That is the 1 and only complaint i have with my RF-1000. That is why i wanted to try out the EXO-1000. Guess i'll have to wait for a few more reviews to make my final decision.

I use this breath mask to prevent the fog. It's from Shoei too. Suppose to fit X-11 & RF-1000.

I have 2 EXO-700s and love them. I also have 2 RF1000s and I like them. The ventilation is fine in all, but the fogging on the SHoei is fucking ridiculous. My Scorpions never fog and are my go to helmet if I have a choice. They are MAD MAD Cheap right now at SBTG. Pick one YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPPOINTED!!!! I promise. Forget the 1000, both EXO and RF. Seems to be a bad name designation. LOL

I tried on a LOT of helmets and the x-11 was hands down the best for me. I did not try the EXO 1000 though.

exo 700 is way better than my arai astral x or the arai corsair i wore for a month.

they fit awesome, and they are so damn cheap.
