oh well, the "mighty R1" only beat it by a tenth of a second. I don't take these tests that seriously... Because even though they are doing a "controlled" situation with the same tires and same rider.... It really just boils down to the rider, his riding style, and how good he is. You could put a different rider on the bikes and I bet he could change the running order of them with no issue. But as said... at the end of the day it really just depends on what you want. I'm sure suzuki will do something about it next year anyway if there really is an issue.

Wel in BSB, the rizla suzukis are scorching in preseason.

I was reading "Two" magazine from the UK and there was an article that claimed the same rider was 4 seconds quicker on the new bike RR versus the 07.

I agree that it dependent on a lot of things, but the kawi and hond must still be fast bikes.

What I thought was most telling about the test was the brake fade. If the brakes were fading so bad, those lap times wouldn't really matter, cux the RR rider would eventually be sitting in the grass picking picking up pieces of bodywork

mcn in my opinion is one of the most "full of feces" mags out there. Also all the 1000cc bikes are so close in performance now and above the average rider that it doesn't matter. If you want hp then you can compare them as any idiot can twist his wrist, but as for overal the bikes are all above us so what does it matter.

I would listen to nearly any other mag then mcn though... sport rider is a pretty good mag.

im sure the honda is a kick ass machine, they havent really upgraded since the 04 so you would hope they would come up with something decent. it will be interesting to see how they go this year in the various superbike races around the globe.

they also didnt mention the price disparity between the hondas and suzukis. that is in both a race package, the hondas are close to 20,000$ and the suzukis are a little over 11,000$ or a road machine. neither did they mention the amount of time required between overhauls or the difference in cost between HRC parts and yoshimura parts. (substantial). of course this doesnt matter if you want to sell a magazine and you are just looking at riding the thing here and there. but anyone taking a race test seriously (that isnt a well supported team) would have to take all these things into consideration.

basically its a shallow, narrow, and rather pointless test.

but to take nothing away from honda, it still won!
