Quite buying junk off ebay . Buy it from suzuki.
Gsxr 750 srad 1999 ( EFI ) fuel pump not priming ?
So I purchased an srad from a friend a few years ago and finally started doing some light resto work on it. I replaced the fuel pump as the original was covered in rust the tank was professionally resprayed and lined.
Now when I hook everything up the error c42 has come up.
I have checked the pump to motor function from the battery and thats fine
When I checked the fuel level sensor the bulb only came on when I touched the sensor themselves , the bulb did not come on when I touched the clamp connectors ( which the manual says I should )
I also need to fit a new female connector to where the pump plugs in. Funny thing is I did try connect it via crocodile clips and it still wouldn't prime...
Surely if the sensor is faulty that wouldn't stop it priming right?
