750 is a great bike but I don't know about going from a 600 Kat to a newer Gix 750. A 600 is plenty and besides, if you had to lower the Kat, you're gonna lower a Gix.

Yeah, I know this...believe me, I will make sure a 750 is right for me before i just hop on one and tear up the streets. I may be blonde but i'm not dumb. I have been on a 750 for a short ride so I know there is more to it.

Sadly, i know i will have to lower the Gix too. :shakehead

750 is probably the most perfect all around bike right now. Great hp, but still very flickable. You can't go wrong with the 750 and it's good you started on a cheaper bike. The newer bikes have a lot more hp, but normally the power is a lot more linear which does make them a bit easier to handle in a way. You looking at a new 750 or used?
+1 I loved my 750 and had no complaints. The difference between the 750 and 1k is incredible. For me the 750 was a lot more maneuverable, the 1k made you work for the turn in!

Well I know for sure I am not ready for a 1k, I know the power they have and LOVE that power. Too tempting for me! I will start out where i need to and work my way up.

You'll love the 750! I never felt like it wasn't enough bike. It was circumstance that I ended up with the 1k. Used 750's are hard to get a hold of.

I am finding that out!
but, I am hoping that when it is time to get one I can find one, even if i have to fly out somewhere and ride it back home!

I have to say the 750 is awesome. All around the perfect bike. Just enough for everything, hardly ever wish for more. Nice in the twisties but sometimes can't chase down those pesky liter bikes:frown And HI!!!

I agree, and yeah those damn liter bikes! :frown It's ok I will be fast enough to cath others that don't have liter bikes so i'm not worried! :biggrin

Hi!
I never have a problem with them!!!! I tried to get the Kitty to ride mine many a time but she just chose to ride something else.:tongue
I had an 03 750 which I loved a lot. Then when I took notice that I didn't get the 0% financing I sold it the following year and bought the 04 1K. Had it ever since and compared to the 03 it seemed to be better balanced. I would say an 04 and up 750 would be a great bike. Either way just sit on her and she how she feels to you.

Like that car commercial says "When you turn it on does it return the favor."

Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

:wink I love that commercial Tom. That is great advice!
