ok ive been wanting a quad for some time now...

i really want a LT450R dont have the money.

I seen a honda 300ex for 1350 so im guessing he wants 1K for it... he said he cracked the upper fairing under the light and needs a battery (pops the clutch right now to start it)

Should i go for it, with the price?

Will it have enough power?

I remember when the 300ex was hot shit but it's kinda weak in comparison now days. It's a small persons quad, if your over 5.5 tall, 150lbs. the 300 may not be the quad for you.

I've owned 7 sport quads in the last 5 years & my choices for a sport quad under $2-3000 would be:

1) Suzuki LTZ 400 (Z400) or its Kawasaki identical twin brother the KFX 400. Water cooled, reverse, best all around quad.

2) Polaris Predator 500. Water cooled, 05' up have reverse, great stock Fox suspension.

3) Honda 400ex. Most reliable but air cooled.

BTW. I sold my last 300ex for $1380, in great condition, new ITP holeshot tires, Works shocks, new plastic, etc, etc, etc.
