Kinked Gas line?
I need a 2nd opinion on this fuel line. It is slightly bent but not terrible in my opinion. I had to shorten it up due to close to touching oil cooler. This bike is gravity fed vacuum operated Petcock. I have not started nor rode the bike after doing this, I cut the line a little short. If I bring the bike out and it revs fine all the way up to 100mph+ hehe in Mexico, would it be safe to say this bend does not affect fuel flow? The T where it connects to is in between carb 3n4 and I’m not sure if I can replace it without taking the airbox off, that is something I do not want to do. Is there a way to put an extension on the hose? Maybe pull it off the petcock a hair to give the hose more slack? Can I couple 2 fuel hoses together? One inside of the other? Put a zip tie on the bend to try and restore full fuel flow? All comments are appreciate thank you.

Hi there, name is Hunter. I’m from upstate NY i work at a Michelin factory where we produce 90% of the worlds snowmobile tracks, I run industrial which we build caterpillar tracks. I ride highway and back roads mostly. I’m not a huge fan of city riding. I have a 1992 gsxf750 43k on the clock.I picked this bike up 2 years ago and since have done a decent amount of work for the first time. Brand new chain and sprockets, full carb rebuild full yoshi exhaust. New plugs and caps new airbox boots.I ended up getting a brass coupler and I coupled another gas line to extend the line. I then zip tied it on one end where the tank cusion is to hold it up and then I also zip tied another end to a breather hose. I did this just so it wasn’t flopping around. It’s routed through the zip ties above the motor. I don’t think the heat from the motor should cause any issues, nothing is rubbing or touching anything hot. I started the bike and saw no leaks,let it idle but never took it out as it was cold last night.![Automotive fuel system Motor vehicle Vehicle Hood Automotive design]()
