sometimes different pads do it with different rotors, but those shims should get rid of it for the most part. In all honesty though i never use my rear brake enough to notice anything. I can't remember the last time i touched the rear brake.
you could try putting your oem rear pad back on there and see if it was the compound that ebc uses against the galfer that is causing it. Just one way to eliminate it if the shims don't. things like this are often just testing until you figure it out. Start with the easy ways and work your way to the harder methods
if you're using an hh rear pad I would swap that out for a nice organic pad as other said. We don't even sell hh rear pads as they cause more lockups and crashes then they help anyone.
