Subframe ?

1389 Views 13 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  slidewayz
I have a 02 750 and I need a subframe. I thought that 01-03 600/750 had the same subframe, but I cross referenced the part number on Ron Ayers and its different.

So are they different? If so how much? Any other year models the same?

Thanks

For the 00-01 750 the part number is 41200-35F00

For the 02-03 750 the part number is 41200-35F20

For the 01 600 it's 41200-39F00

Fo the 02 600 it's 41200-35F20

For the 03 600 it's 41200-35F23

For the 01 1000 it's 41200-40F00

Fro the 02 1000 it's 41200-35F20

I thought more would be interchangeable than that on the 01-03 600/750/1000

I'm sure someone who has this bike and done it would know more cause they've done it before. They all "look" the same in the microfiche, but unfortunatly it won't tell me what the difference is
all of them have the same basic mounts.

I do know that the mounts for the voltage regulator are the same but the reticifier mounts are different, some also have hooks that have bolts holding them and some are welded.

the mounts to the frame are all the same, the mounts that hold the battery tray in and the mounts that hold the tail/seat/passenger pegs are all the same.

I learned all of this the hard way my first couple years doing trackdays and racing:biggrin
I bought the bike this way 2 years ago and never thought about the subframe until I tweaked it a couple of weeks ago. What I have seen on Ebay it looks like it has a 02 600 subframe on it anyway. Take a look.......

Is this for a dedicated track bike?
Yeah this bike has never seen the street. Well unless you count the early morning shake down runs in the neighborhood. :biggrin

any subframe for the 01-03 gsxr 600, 00-03 gsxr 750 or 01-02 gsxr 1000 will work.

If you can find a deal on a used one.. i say go for it. There are only minimal differences between them and all of them will work.

Hopefully that helps you out!

Yep, thanks for the help. I will be pulling the trigger tonight if the bidding on Egay doesn't go crazy.
